"Breakfast was good. The bed was very uncomfortable because the mattress was far too firm. Also could have done with more pillows and a larger TV (it was tiny!) The shower took ages to heat up and the room looked quite dated. However, the place was very clean, WiFi was excellent and the receptionist was lovely. Food prices were very expensive for what they were, though. Overall, we might not stay here again because of the very uncomfortable beds, which is a shame. The walls are very thin as well and we could hear the TV in the adjoining room as well as someone running the tap upstairs which seemed far more noisy than it should be. "

"I would recommend this accommodation for its clean well appointed spacious bedrooms and outstanding quality of breakfast included in the rate. I did feel that it was time for a new mattress in our room. This would be my only criticism. I will definitely return to stay here again."

"A lovely stay, room in hotel annex was spotless. Staff were all friendly, Breakfast plentiful and delicious and evening meals were of the same quality using local produce where available. Menu prices were very reasonable both for food and drinks. Swimming pool area did not disappoint, had to book beforehand but was easy to do on app or at reception. Overall I don’t have anything negative to say and wouldn’t hesitate to return."

"Two of the facilities were closed .resistance pool and hot tub No prior warning of this Plumbing was noisy letting water runaway in the bathroom sink resulted n some very loud gurgling. Breakfast staff seemed inexperienced We had to request toast then jam neither was offered. We felt this should have arrived with the hot drinks drinks or at least offered Bathroom worn Eg cistern button had a missing piece Shelf under sink marked Bath panel is needing replaced Bathroom door was chipped The bedroom floor was uneven which can be expected for an older property however there was a distinct hole/depression around the foot of the bed which could be a trip hazard. A car alarm went off several times in the night and again at 6 am. I feel the staff should have located the owner and asked them to address the issue ie disable the alarm The car was directly under our window. We requested a latte at breakfast this was an extra charge and was brought by the breakfast waiter and yet there was a small service charge for this. I felt this was little bit miserly. I could have asked for the charge to be removed but i just left it on the bill These things did not spoil our trip we just felt they should not occur in a 5star hotel. The room was clean and tidy and warm The bed was very comfortable. The location is amazing the ambience was very good just let down by these few things We will return next year due to a booking error on my part hopefully things will be addressed."

"The steam room is nice. My check-in included choosing breakfast at 7:30am or 9:30am. I arrived on the moment for 9:30. Food in steam tray was either gone or had been there too long. I was made to feel I was the inconvenience. Dining rm thinks meal is between half 7 & half 9. Desk needs to be accurate b/cI would have preferred an 8:30 arrival for some berries!"

"We are returning guests to Knockendarroch, where we received an exceptional experience, once again. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, polite and professional. Food was superb, a real treat. Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Every effort was made to make us feel welcome and we had a great stay. 10/10"
