It was okay... the cottage itself was excellent and quiet with good fixtures and fittings. Leaving milk, 3x dishwasher tablets and good towels were all appreciated.
However, the tone of the stay was reduced by the presence of a dehumidifier in the main bedroom (with a request to leave it on whenever possible) a lack of dishwasher salt and rinse aid (why would I buy some for a four day stay?) and no obvious warning about a £20 charge for using the EV charger. Given my car is a 15-mile-range PHEV that was more than £1 a mile - I would not have bothered.
My final irritation was that although Hotels.com said the stay was all paid, it wasn't- leading to me returning to the property after I checked out to settle the account. Nigel said this was Expedia/Hotels.com fault, not his, but why wasn't I warned about this while I was there - it wasn't like I was hard to find.
