"I overall had a good stay at this hotel as a solo traveler. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast was good and it was a nice way to start the day, sitting on the patio by the pool. Downsides are that the pools are not heated and are much too cold to swim in (much colder than the nearby ocean). Also there is no free drinking water which I found very frustrating. The hotel sells bottled water but only accepts cash, which I didn’t have. I tried to fill my small water bottle at breakfast and was scolded by a woman that it was not allowed. I found it so odd that they were gatekeeping something as simple as drinking water, as if it’s some rare commodity. The close by convenience stores also only accepted cash so I had to walk 20 minutes into town just to buy water. It should be a basic amenity to provide free drinking water to hotel guests, or at the very least accept card payments (it’s 2026 come on). Unfortunately this really tainted my experience at the hotel."

"The hotel was wonderful. The hotel restaurant, not so much. Disappointing Experience – Poor Management & Overpriced Food While staying at the Carvi Beach Hotel, we decided to try Luca’s on a recommendation from hotel staff. We arrived at 6:00 PM without a reservation. Alfredo, the manager, told us they were fully booked but said he could seat us if we returned between 8:45 and 9:00 PM. We passed the time on the hotel rooftop, where Marco, the rooftop manager, provided fantastic service. We returned at the agreed-upon time and checked in with Alfredo. Despite the restaurant being half empty, he asked us to wait. For over 20 minutes, Alfredo completely ignored us while sitting at a nearby table drinking wine with other patrons. Eventually, an attentive team member (who seemed to be the assistant manager) noticed us, looked genuinely frustrated by how Alfredo had handled the situation, and seated us right away. Unfortunately, the food was just mediocre and definitely not worth the high prices. While the waiting staff were friendly and hard-working, Alfredo's rude, unprofessional behavior ruined the evening. I’d recommend skipping this place."
