"We had a wonderful mini-vacation at Hodelpa Gran Almirante and truly enjoyed our stay from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. The chauffeur who picked us up was very friendly and welcoming. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff greeted us warmly in the lobby and provided plenty of helpful information about the property and its amenities. The breakfast was one of our favorite parts. There was always something different each morning, and everything was fresh and delicious. The pool and jacuzzi were also great, very relaxing and well-maintained. We also wanted to spend a day at the beach, and the hotel connected us with an independent tourist guide. He was phenomenal, very knowledgeable, professional, and made the trip enjoyable. He took us to Playa Dorada, which was beautiful and definitely worth visiting. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santiago. It’s a perfect mix of comfort, service, and convenience."

"Clean of room was excellent, there were plenty of parking spaces; personal of breakfast was very good. Kitchens’utensils look brand new, but we did not used. A request to check the shower’head was never done,"

"I thought since it was holy week and a lot of places were closed so I thought the hotel was going to have some entertaintment specially at the rooftoop. We had 2 drinks only, for almost $70 dollars and music was not what I spected being in the DR. Place was neat, staff was very nice. But I do not think I will return."

"This hotel is in a great central location near The Monument, restaurants, and shops. However, the service and amenities in the hotel need improvement. I arrived very early on a Saturday morning and had informed the hotel that I would be arriving around 5AM, but the hotel doors were closed and no one was at the desk to let me in. After knocking on the outside doors for some time, the desk clerk awoke and was able to let me in. There was also an attendant who offered to help me with my bag, but I didn't need help with one backpack bag. Nonetheless, he still accompanied me to my room. In the room, there were hairs on the floor and the shower door did not shut completely enough to prevent water from getting out. The slow shower drain allowed water to flood the floor. The fan does NOT shut off, and there is no way for the guest to turn it off. Even the hotel workers could not shut it off. That's not good when you don't want cool air blowing on you during the cool morning hours. You are offered a small bottle of water on the first day. After that, you have to pump your water from a large water bottle located in the hallway. This used to be a very good hotel years ago, but, sadly, the standards have declined. It would be great if they could get back to providing a higher level of service and better amenities. The location is great though."
