"I spent a lot of money expecting to enjoy a relaxing vacation, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The room had ants and roaches, and management wanted to send people to spray the room while we were staying there. When you’re on vacation, the last thing you want is to worry about bugs getting into your luggage or belongings. The property is also extremely big, so you constantly need golf carts to get around. Sometimes we had to wait close to 30 minutes just to get picked up and go from one place to another. Customer service was poor, especially when trying to get help or solve issues. The restaurants themselves were good, but getting into them was very difficult because everything was overcrowded and busy. Unless you made reservations two days ahead, your chances of getting in were very low. Overall, the resort looks nice, but the experience did not match the amount of money we paid."

"Ava resort was pretty clean. The pool was a beautiful area. Employees were all very kind. The food however was not good. Me and my husband had a very hard time with the food. We also didn’t appreciate how the travel advisors there would constantly come up to us trying to get us to buy some sort of package. "

"I showed up late at night with no reservation. I dealt with a gentleman (I forgot his name) at the frontdesk when I arrived. He was the most compassionate and caring human being. He helped me book a room and offered me water and all after I explained the kind of unfortunate situation I was in. I had a comfortable stay for the night and left the next morning for my flight. We need more people like him. He was genuinely caring. Thank you for your help. I wish I wrote your name down. "
