"Mariella, thank you for being such a wonderful host! We called Mariella a few hours before arrival to let her know when we would arrive. Once we got to our location (very peaceful and beautiful countryside property), we drove through the automated gate, and Mariella met us at our car. Check in was very quick, we were shown our room which is found in a beautiful house, where everything is new and very clean! We were given our room keys and keys to the gate. "We enjoyed our two day stay very much. Location is excellent but a tip we took a big taxi and it couldn’t fit the narrow lanes to the door. It dropped us in the min square and we had a walk. On leaving the hotel front desk staff ordered a regular taxi that came to the door. Thank you. Yes the roads are very narrow! The building is very old and the lift doesn’t directly access all rooms so if you have mobility issues advise the hotel in advance. The room was great. Bed comfortable and wonderfully quiet. There were a few stairs but we were fine. Breakfast is good but not excellent. Normal for Italy. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast staff less so. It was good value but I might look elsewhere next time - as we get older! Last tip the gelateria Carloni 1989 - just a few steps away possibly the best ever."
