"One of the the assigned rooms had not been cleaned yet, so was rebooked to a different room. The fire alarm in our room started beeping around 5:00am. When the beeping got to be more often and louder, we called the front desk. The front desk attendant came to our room and announced that "She didn't smell smoke and she would call maintenance to look into it" We assumed it was the battery backup that needed attention, but after 3 hours of beeping and being annoyed, we checked out early."

"Definitely not a hotel for bigger families. I stayed with my 3 kids all under 11 we chose this hotel and room because of the room having stated they provided cooking ware there was only one tiny pot we couldn’t cook anything just ordered take out which sucked because it was more money I had to spend. I should have checked out the pool more online it is incredibly tiny! Maybe about 5 people fit in it. My shower leaked water all over the floor, there was still trash in our room from the people prior and SO MUCH trash in the hallway outside the rooms. Breakfast was so limited. Workers didn’t really seem to care. We stayed for 3 days not once did anyone come clean our room or get us clean towels. I cleaned and had to ask for things"

"Not the best experience. Just in general the property wasnt in great shape. The hot tub was closed without notice at booking. The staff acted like every request was a horrible burden."

"Night Employee was rude made it seem like I was a bother to her, Breakfast was a joke Place looked like it maybe going through a remodel (i hope) door going into the bathroom was falling off lock on door to room barely worked had to go back to front desk 4 times cause keys wouldnt work. The lever to get out of on of the doors was broken and falling off hallway smelled of weed I wouldnt recommend staying there especially if you have kids"

"It was the best decision to stay at st james. It really gives you a royal , vintage and heritage vibe. The rooms are luxurious, majestic & king like . The Restaurant “Scarlet kitchen & Bar” is the best restaurant in town, the food we had was very flavorful , clean & made with love. The staff was very very generous & humble. The location is right in the middle of the town, everything seems to be at a walkable distance. Would highly recommended this place to everyone."
