The staff was very friendly helpful. The room was huge, clean, quiet, wifi great, all the meals I had was tasty and well presented. I noticed that the service at the pool was very slow and it took forever to pick up the dirty dishes. I am not sure if the manager is giving enough guidance

We had various issues with the room and service but they were resolved fairly quickly. One issue, not resolved is that there are no USB ports available - inconvenient in a hotel used for many business conferences.

The staff were friendly and welcoming to me and my lady. They made it extra special for us. The room was well prepared. We were advised of what is happening at the hotel and around with options for our entertainment. I will definitely book again.

Disappointing stay

In short: They need to learn what the term "maintenance" means. Even if they appoint a handyman, it will go a long way towards addressing he many glaring issues relating to maintenance. And... I do not like to have seconds for breakfast, referring rather sarcastically to the fact that the flies had first helping to the buffet. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Will not recommend this establishment at all!

O Lord, not the Charles

Very loud kitch hotel, noisy, looks great on pics but i disliked it intensely. Bad internet at extremiies, but those rooms are at least a bit more quiet. Conference groups are loud and walls are vety thin

I stayed here for a week even though my Expedia booking was for 2 nights. Lovely, friendly staff - responsive; good at recovery (e.g., always had to ask for bottled water even though housekeeping was to leave it each day). Property is a little older; standard room (6 nights) much better than suite on first night (host neglected to make reservation). Love the outdoor areas. Bed was really comfy, large shower with bathroom amenities. Would definitely stay again!

Enjoyable

A great location for conferences, with great facilities on-site. You'd need to set aside some time to visit the more central places in Cape Town like Table Mountain, but it's very doable. Good vineyards around the place to visit for some good wine-tasting.

Could have been better

It would have been perfect if the bathroom did not leak , the air cons of many many other friends rooms were operational , the tissues available when we overheat , the room coffee had not been renewed for days . This hotel has a lack of Quality Control and this is sad for an hotel of such a level . Our friend s conference were disappointed .

Ærverdig flott hotell med noen riper i lakken

Flott gammelt hotell! Hotellets beliggenhet forutsetter biltransport for å komme til strand, vinfarm og shopping. Har man ikke egen bil, er taxi lett tilgjengelig. Stor fin hage/park som tilhører hotellet. Hotellet er gammelt og ikke alt fungerte på mitt rom: a/c fungerte ikke ordentlig og ga ingen god varme (var der senvinters og det er kaldt). Heller ikke espresso maskinen virket. Hotellet er stort, 190 rom. Ingen fleksibilitet da jeg spurte om å få beholde rommet til kl 11 ved utsjekk som er 10:00; det til tross for at jeg tilhørte en meget stor gruppe som alle sjekket ut ca 08.. Nydelig frokost men varierende service også her.

If you are looking for a relaxing place to recuperate from the stresses of life then this is the place. They are pleasant, laid back and friendly and the environs of this hotel are peaceful and relaxed.

Not impressed

I was not impressed with the cleanliness of my room...toilet seat was dirty (faeces) on arrival. Condition also questionable,toilet door had chip board broken in some parts. Service of the employees was excellent.
