"We could not fault the villa itself. Very well appointed and extremely comfortable. Staff were very friendly and always available by instant message for any queries. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Very easy walk to the main bars and restaurants with great views. We had a braai two of the nights we stayed (of 5) and there was all the things we needed to do this (you need to buy your own charcoal and lighters). "We stayed at the Onyx for 6 days and enjoyed it very much. Staff were very helpful and housekeeping were very good. It is in a good location, felt quite safe and the Concierge was very helpful in organising additional tours. Close to Big Red Bus stop, which allowed us to take in Cape Town. Also visited V and A wharf, walked a few times (took about 20 minutes) and took ubers of a night. Would highly recommend. Only downside was breakfast, seems a seperate business and staff were very pushy on being tipped each morning which is quite unusual for a hotel including breakfast, orders were mixed up and slow."
