The place was beautiful but the location not. We felt unsafe. I booked for a place in Newlands close to the Two Oceans race. My booking said that i booked in newlands. The owner said that it was Hotel.Com that made the mistake. As i said, the place was beautiful inside but not sure how we ended up in kalkbay?

Overall, I have fairly mixed reviews. We went with oceanfront penthouse for our wedding trip. Logistics: I booked this thinking we’d be in Newlands. The original address was in Muizenberg, but didn’t get the actual address until 24 hours in advance. This address was in Kommetjie....this was super far away. Thank goodness we decided to rent a car because we would have spent a fortune on transportation. I also had hair/makeup and a florist come to the house. But I had given them the original address and had to change it last minute. This looked really bad on my part and was, quite frankly, embarrassing. House: the house itself was gorgeous. Looked at the water. Only complaint is that we could hear the rest of the house at night and in the mornings. Overall I wouldn’t book this again. It looks tempting but not being able to plan with knowing where you’ll be is frustrating. We had to wake up VERY early in order to make it into the city at a reasonable time (we were about an hour away). Again, it was very frustrating for what should’ve been a relaxing experience.

Die Ferienwohnung ist stilvoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Es gibt in der modernen Küche sogar eine Waschmaschine. Für den Mietwagen steht eine Garage zur Verfügung. Einzigartig ist der Blick direkt auf die False Bay. Nur die Straße und die Bahnlinie trennen das Haus vom Wasser. Bei guter Sicht kann man im Süden sogar die Kaphalbinsel sehen. Beim Frühstück haben wir mehrmals Robben im Wasser gesehen. Der Ort Kalk Bay eignet sich gut, um von dort aus Kapstadt und die Kaphalbinsel zu erkunden.
