Lovely Winelands stay

Lovely stay in the Winelands at this countryside hotel. Rooms were lovely , lots of attention to detail. Bed was like sleeping in a cloud. Gorgeous surroundings.

Wedgeview was the perfect starting point for our South African journey. It was about 20 from Cape town airport and a very convenient distance to Stellenbosch wineries. We spent two nights here to recover from jet lag and to explore stellenbosch. We loved everything about this property and its staff!

Very relaxed and comfortable, staff and management very welcoming. There were a few maintenance issues, eg badly cracked wall tiles in the bathroom, with exposed edges.

This countryside hotel has everything to make it a perfect holiday destination. The only thing that could be improved was the service. It was a bit messy. Another guest’s laundry bag was misplaced in our room, we reported a wasp nest on our balcony after check in, but it was still there the day we left. And the service at the dinner was not the best. Example; offering to bring some mayonaise, but then never actually delivering it. The staff is the sweetest you can get. But some training would make a huge difference. That said. Hotel and rooms are beautiful!

Such a lovely property. Very homey — esp. with the thatched roofs — and the fireplace. We appreciated the welcome drink. One caution is there seems to be missed communications between Expedia and staff regarding reservations. Enjoyed the views, the food and the friendly staff!

Schade das es im Restaurant zum Dinner wenig Auswahl gibt. Wenn man länger da ist und Abends nicht nochmal wohin fahren möchte, dann ist man sehr eingeschränkt. Der Service ist lieb und sehr nett aber noch ausbaufähig. Der Pool war nicht wirklich einladend, da Wasser sehr trübe.
