"The Cleanliness of this apartment was apalling stained dirty carpets, kettle was filthy hairs and dirt just about everywhere and cobwebs and spiders just about in every corner of each room couldn’t wait to leave I’m so pleased we had only booked one night."

"Absolutely lovely cottage, clean, cosy and in the perfect location.
We have had a great time. Very steep stairs inside the property and a fairly short bed so if you are super tall with mobility problems it might be difficult but for us it was perfect."

"The apartment was as described and in a very good location. The Prosecco and chocolate were a lovely welcome gift.
Unfortunately the cleanliness was not up to standard but we have discussed this with the owners and hopefully it has been addressed "

"Couldn’t fault my stay here at all. Great location and everything you could want or need except food was included. It was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave. Was there during a storm which gave me problems with the boiler, phoned a Fiona and within 15 mins Martyn was there to sort it along with 2 ready-mixed g&t’s as an apology. Wasn’t needed but a lovely touch. Yes would definitely stay here again."

"I would 100% recommend. I shall return if i am to stay in Whitby again. Amazing staff and clean rooms. Thank you for a great stay. 5 stars all around."
"Upgrade to room 10 was excellent but restaurant staff were grumpy and not lgbt friendly.
The person who checked me in who has an office in the stairwell was the opposite and as a regular customer and guest was approachable, lgbt friendly and use tge correct pronouns to address myself.
Room was massive, comfortable and in the 17 th century part of the former Manor House with a courtyard view "
"Just ten mins walk to town centre, few minute walk to north sea seaside, location is lovely. The room is clean, the bed is comfy, the shower has high water pressure which is good for after walking all day. The only one thing is kettle doesn't clean, some water left there when I check-in."
"This hotel is really special. Great Victorian ambiance. Amazing view of the abbey and bay. Do not expect TV but wifi is good. Loved the all antique decor. "
