"The hotel is in a great location for dining, shopping and sightseeing. It was our 3rd time staying there. The hotel is old and could do with being updated. The furniture is old and out dated and there is no fridge in the rooms. It’s also expensive compared to other cities we stayed in on our 30 day trip through Spain. It’s the location that draws us back. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We got a room city view with a balcony, it was a bit noisy at night and the balcony was just shutters you could open up and look out onto the street. It was worth the extra money as the room was spacious. Our friends had a standard room with twin beds with a horrible view and the room was tiny. We would suggest paying a bit more for a larger room. Overall, a good stay in a great location."

"Phenomenal hotel. Brilliant location in Gothic. Amazing history: this hotel is like a museum built on top of Roman ruins that they preserved so guests can see. Comfortable bed and shower - I'm 6'5" and had no issues. Brilliant very friendly and efficient service. Check in was fast and easy. Room was whisper quiet at night. Beautiful walk out balcony. Definitely get breakfast included as it's the best breakfast we had in Europe."

"The staff was very personable and extremely helpful with any questions we had. The location was perfect for walking to all the different areas of Barcelona. A variety of food establishments within easy walking distance. Felt very comfortable and safe walking in the area surrounding the hotel. It really was a perfect hotel! Definitely would recommend as a hotel to stay in Barcelona."
