"Had an amazing family vacation at this hotel. Unless you are planning on staying at the hotel, I would definitely recommend renting a car to get around. The hotel enterance itself is long, therefore walking can take a while. The drive from San Juan airport is about 35min, El Yunque is about 17min drive, Old San Juan was about 45 min drive. There are several restaurants in the area thats about 15min drive. The staff was very friendly, accomodating and welcoming. If you are traveling during the beginning of the week and not staying the weekend, there is not much night life at the hotel. We were told during the weekend they have a life band in the main lobby area. Food at the restaurant licated on the hotel premises was good but can get pricey. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this hotel. "

"Review of Barceló Bávaro Palace I had the best time ever at Barceló Bávaro Palace — it was the perfect blend of pure relaxation and endless fun. The drinks were amazing (the mojitos were my absolute favorite!), and the staff’s warmth and hospitality made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine kindness. Check-in was incredibly quick and smooth, and we were lucky to be helped by a wonderful woman whose name I wish I remembered — she made sure every detail we requested for our room was taken care of. The room itself was fabulous, with breathtaking views that made every moment feel like paradise. The food was decent, as you’d expect from most all-inclusives, but the specialty restaurants really stood out — my favorite was the Mexican restaurant. The staff was the heart of it all, always smiling, attentive, and making us feel completely safe. As two young travelers, that meant everything to us. They even went the extra mile by taking down taxi driver details to ensure our safety when we went out. On our last day, when our pre-booked Expedia transportation failed to show up, one of the staff members quickly arranged for a trusted taxi driver so we could leave without stress. That kind of care and attention speaks volumes about their commitment to guests. Everything about this trip was incredible, and I would 100% recommend Barceló Bávaro Palace to anyone. I can’t wait to go back again!"
