This is a fabulous resort in a beautiful, peaceful vineyard setting. The room was so lovely and offered everything we needed, including a wonderful gas fire for a cold winter’s night. The spa bath was heavenly (as was the heated floor in the bathroom) and the kitchen was well-equipped. We loved the calm, natural colours and the view over the lake and farmland. Breakfast was delicious! A big thank you to the friendly, helpful, professional staff, all of whom contributed to our enjoyment of our...

Greyfriars is a really well located motel. Despite being on the main road, it is remarkably quiet, as it is set back from the street. It is only a moment’s walk from the shops and deli, and there is excellent parking. We booked a studio unit and had a very comfortable night. There was no sink in the kitchen, so it was a bit of a hassle doing dishes in the bathroom, but overall the unit was excellent and we would definitely stay again.

The reception staff and cleaning staff were really pleasant and helpful, and the unit was very clean. The location was excellent, being close to the town and also to the venue we were visiting. The pool was lovely - nice and clean with a pleasant area around it for relaxing.

Great clean and straightforward cabin, easy check in, good facilities, well-run and efficient operation. Had everything you need and nothing you don't.

This was our choice because of the limited selection offered by hotels.com in this location. Location was outside of the main town... but its a close drive so not a problem (10mins)... and masterton is small. The restaurant was both unavailable, then closed both nights we were there... but there are plenty of other food choices. It gets one point docked for comfort as housekeeping forgot to give us bath towels on our second night, so we had to make do.
