"This is without a doubt the best hotel I have stayed at in my entire life. The level of customer service is second to none. The rooms are exceptional, the grounds are immaculate, the spa is beautiful, the outdoor pool is heated to a toasty 32C according to my watch. What an incredible stay. I find it really hard to find any faults. If I had to pick one fault. We had an 8:45pm dining time at Charlies on a Sunday night and I will admit that dinner took absolutely AGES! I think the poor staff were run off their feet and you could see how stressed out they were. The food was absolutely delicious. We did have one slightly pickier eater who would have loved a simple steak but there was none on the menu. I loved the food however. The clay pidgeon shooting experience was booked through the hotel and the man who took us was such a gentleman. We paid £120 for the experience and he was happy to share the shots between our group. I would absolutely do this again when we return. The golf course was immaculate and beautiful and everyone I had an encounter with was lovely. Even the local members on the course were happy to chat. We can't wait to return again in the summer."

"I had a very comfortable stay. The hotel is in a beautiful area and has a fascinating history. A member of staff kindly called me to advise if I wanted to pre-order dinner because I would have arrived after the kitchen closed. The meal was exquisite and a real treat. All team members encountered were very pleasant and customer-focused. Apart from minor wear and tear here and there the en-suite room was great. The full breakfast was hearty and substantial and cooked perfectly."
