"I booked this hotel under the impression that it was a 4 star hotel. I was extremely disappointed upon entry. The property is old and low quality. The breakfast was disappointing and the hotel was just overall boring. I will say that the staff were nice but I would not recommend. I left a day early"

"Very nice hotel with excellent amenities. The free airport shuttle doesn’t run very often, so we weren’t able to use it. The location is cocked by highways so you need a taxi to go almost anywhere if you want to explore the city or eat outside of the hotel. "

"Loved the openness of the hotel, the plants, souvenir shop. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was fantastic, clean, and spacious. Only "complaint" was pool could have been warmer and no poolside bartender lol but not a big deal, it is a beautiful pool area. We did get up at 0700 to get in the hottub and it wasn't hot, assumed the hottub was shut off at night. Our room was poolside and we were awakened by a very loud group of guests at the pool about midnight, called the front desk and it was taken care of immediately. I absolutely would stay at the Doubletree in San Jose again and definitely recommend it, especially for the airport shuttle/convenience."
