"Great hotel! Lots of food options, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a good value. Feels more international and Costa Rican than other big brands. We enjoyed Barcelo very much. Nice pool with poolside restaurant and bar. Beautiful setting. My wife and I stayed on both the front end and back end of our trip to Costa Rica. We will stay again on our next trip to San Jose."

"We needed a pre-flight stay near the airport and chose the Courtyard by Marriott for its proximity to the airport. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant before heading back to our room for an early bedtime. The beds were so comfortable, and we were able to block out the lights and noise from the airport and highway outside. Our flight was at 6AM so we took advantage of the free shuttle to the airport. Shuttle starts at 4AM, it was on time and gave us plenty of time to check in and wait for our flight."

"They double-booked my room so another guest tried to get in with a key that worked in the middle of the night. Then they called my room at 6am to ask how to spell my last name, then they knocked again at 7am for no reason whatsoever. "
