"A comfortable hotel, but Hotels.com needs to make it clearer that this is one of those European hotels without staff, where one needs codes to enter the building and room. Unfortunately, the hotel never sent me the codes, and I stood outside the door for a good ten minutes before a kind passerby helped me by calling the hotel for me to ge the codes (my US phone doesn't work in Europe). "Le soucis n’est pas la chambre, c’est la publicité mensongère. Je venais pour mon anniversaire de mariage en pensant profiter du spa, sauf que le spa n’est pas du coup inclus dans le tarif de la chambre (sur votre site ce n’est écrit nul part!) on demande comment faire pour y aller quand même et là on nous dit que tout est déjà réservé. Personne ne nous a prévenu. Il y a une piscine extérieur couverte, on demande donc si on peut y aller, on nous dit que non car elle n’est pas chauffée… payer...

"MOTORCYCLE TOUR Enjoyed my stay for the following reasons: Secure outdoor parking for our motorcycles behind a big iron, 24hr locked gate. Very comfortable room with air conditioning. Comfortable bed. UK news channels on the TV. Hot shower and lift to the upper floors. What I thought was OK; Breakfast, easy 15 min walk to the historic town for restaurants and bars, quiet safe area. Problems: I had to return 5 times to reception because my room key didn't always open my room door; but my friends room was fine. Beer..... I'm a big fan of Belgium beer but ..... I ordered a beer from the pump and it tasted awful, sour and had a sharp taste; the receptionist put on a new barrel and I believe there may have been pipe cleaner in the system. I complained, and I couldn't drink it but didn't get a refund as the barman said he didn't drink beer so couldn't comment - it also had small particles floating in it. I had the same beer in town and it tasted completely different - very disappointing"

"We stumbled upon this hotel by accident. We were en-route to Germany and decided we wanted a bed for 1 night to break the journey, so we checked Hotels.Com and this place was fairly close by, so we booked it on the spur of the moment. It's in the middle of nowhere, and quite difficult to find, even with SatNav, but we are so glad we found it. The place is on a Golf Course and is a gem. The room wasn't large, but wasn't small either, it was very functional and gave us everything we need. The bed was comfy enough, the TV was good and plenty of power plugs and also a coffee machine. The shower was superb. Really powerful and good temperature control. A lovely view over the golf course from the bedroom window, but one slight negative was the lack of a lift. We were on the upper floor and had to carry the cases up a steepish flight of stairs, but it didn't spoil the stay. We had a very nice dinner in the restaurant, and breakfast the following morning was also lovely outside on the terrace. Neither meal was especially cheap, but we felt they were good value, and it was so lovely sitting on the terrace in the morning eating breakfast with just bird sound for company, and not endless traffic noise. This place really is in the middle of nowhere .. but delightfully so. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. The car park is huge, but a bit of a walk from the reception. In summary ... we really liked our stay and would most certainly come again if ever we were in the area."
