Turned out not to be the case as our room had a double and a single bed and it was not possible to get 3 single beds. "When we walked in the bed was unmade.. which made me question if it was changed at all after previous guests.. when we moved bed cover there was someone’s t-shirt… NO towels at all, no fridge/coffee/microwave (just be aware) and AC made a huge puddle on the floor only after several hours running. "Not to be mistaken for a hotel, this is a self service set of prehistoric rooms, except for the pricing. Cleanliness is subpar, towels are older than my grandmother, and air conditioning is not a technology that has reached this part of the world. I was desperate to get some rest, but good luck doing so in 30 deg C temperature with no air conditioning. Oh and not to forget the noise from the restaurant downstairs right beneath my window. I arrived in the afternoon around 3pm to find the door...

"This hotel worked for us in that it was roughly halfway on our journey to the south of France. The staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in. The hotel itself is quite tired and needs some modernisation. Restaurant was not open the evening we were there but the Local town of Avallon had plenty of pleasant restaurants available. "
