The view. One of the most beautiful views of Mont Blanc and surrounding mountains. Very comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Classic chalet style. The restaurant is extraordinary. The walk to town and back earns and burns calories but if in reasonable shape, very pretty and pleasant. Nice little spa facility also.

While we did not enjoy the steep climb to get to this hotel, we quite enjoyed the location and the gorgeous view. Maxime in particular was very gracious, courteous, and helpful. We would stay there again should we return.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We tripped a breaker (all our power went out), but they were able to fix it quickly. We also said we might be a touch late for checkout and if they could just hold our luggage which they did. The views of Mont Blanc can't be beat here. Absolutely loved the patio and lounge chairs just outside the room.

We enjoyed our three nights at Auberge du Bois Prin. Before booking, we understood from expedia reviews that it is not actually in town but in a quiet semi rural area, 700 meters up a steep hill from the edge of town. It was raining. Taxis were 25€. We usually drove 800 m to Parking d‘Outa at the margin of the center of town The rooms are nice. Breakfast is great. The hot tub and spa are each large enough for 2 strangers or 3 in the same group.

The most striking impression initially is the incomparable view of the Mont Blanc massif from this property. I can't imagine a better location. The staff, bar none, was superb and paid attention to every need. The restaurant was very good. Highly recommend this property!

We fell in love with this little inn and staff. It captured to epitome of French alpine life. We felt so welcomed and comfortable here. View was unbeatable. We will absolutely be staying here on our next visit to Chamonix.

Beautiful city

Walking up the hill was a challenge,i needed .the exercise,anyway.down the hill no problem.the receptipnists were very helpful.i loved the hotel.the 1st day my breakfast was great.the 2nd day,t a different watress was really stressed.the people at the table next to me and i were talking.the watress was confused like it was her 1st day.never got the fruit.we had to ask for everything.when i asked for salt and pepper,she brought me salt,in a bowl,kinda wierd.that day the breakfast was not enjoyable.i loved the hotel alot.location,my room,and everything else.i loved the town so much.took a bus back to geneva to the train station.i'd stay there again. Lots of eating places in town.pretty crowded.go to the top of the mountain.the view is fantastic.

An amazing experience. . .

I really enjoyed my stay at this fabulous hotel. From my second floor room, I could see snow-covered Alps starting early in the morning around 5:00am and remained light outside until 9:30pm! My room was so nice, clean, with everything I needed. I especially liked the option of having coffee outside my bedroom each morning, weather permitting. (Though I urge US visitors to bring at least 5 or 6 European plug adapters, since the hotel as so few.) I found the staff to be helpful and patient with my many questions and requests. The one dinner I had there was outstanding. Chef Renaut and his team focus on using local ingredients, often from the extensive garden on the property. My only regret was not taking advantage of the onsite spa. Frankly my days were filled with hiking, shopping, exploring nearby villages (especially since bus rides are free), parasailing (which I highly recommend), riding cables cars up to the mountain peaks, as well as enjoying rafting and kayaking on the most beautiful river water I've personally experienced. I also found the food and service at the many, many bars and restaurants in the nearby village to offer a good variety of options, served with patience for those of us who struggled with the names of some of the dishes. I personally appreciated that aspect of community as a whole. If you look lost, confused or struggling in any way, someone will offer their unsolicited help. I'll definitely go back, once I've checked out the rest of the world!!
