"I was very pleased both with the quality, the cost, and the fact it was right next door to Cracker Barrel Restaurant. However, I was disappointed with the included breakfast. Average pastries and no hot breakfast. I don't consider waffles a hot breakfast. "

"Nice location and place. Pool was closed. Gym and breakfast was great. My only issue was the cleaner they used is way to strong/toxic. Had to air the place out for a day or two. "

"The hotel itself is very nice. The lobby and check in staff were great and the Starbucks coffee/sundries shop was good. They had a bar/restaurant open until 10 or 11pm and a big restaurant open for breakfast. We were in room 325, which was updated and very clean, but overlooked the trash cans. FYI, you won’t be able to see the lake from your room unless you are above the 7th floor. We were surprised that the pool closed at 7pm when the stated time on their website is 9pm. There was a heavy police presence in the parking lot which indicated problems with crime. The hotel was nice, but the surrounding area looked like it had its heyday in the 90’s and is now neglected on the Hilton side of the lake, where there were a few unhoused people laying about. Walking over to the other side of the lake where Boardwalk Billy’s is is much better. We highly recommend the BBQ, green beans & Mac & cheese at Boardwalk Billy’s and the ice cream at Ninety’s. Overall we had a good stay and plan to stay again on our next trip to UNC Charlotte, which is VERY close by."

"All the employees are VERY helpful. The room was so amazing and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Only downfall was the small square pillows. I would rather have a normal size pillow. But great stay !!"
