"Very nice and helpful staff and a great location for visiting the castle and museum. Watch out for heat though especially if American because fans are provided. Was fine with cool mountain air at night and admit was unusually hot in Europe"

"The manager, Loïc, greeted us by name when we first arrived—we must have been the last guests expected that night. He was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a family room with three bunk beds (so six beds total). Everyone was comfortable. Our room had one bathroom with a sink and toilet and another bathroom with a sink and shower. That was convenient for getting ready in the morning. The room looked brand new and was very clean. We left the windows open at night and enjoyed the fresh air. It was a really quiet overnight, with the sound of the waterfall across the street in the background. It was a really nice change from our stay in Geneva. Breakfast was great: scrambled eggs, hard and soft boiled eggs, bacon, croissants, breads, jams, cheeses, yogurts, cereal, juices, coffee, and hot chocolate. We ate the restaurant for dinner one night, and that was really good too."

"An amazing little village to visit. Quite touristy in the day but we enjoyed the evenings when a lot of people went home and we could enjoy the quiet of the village and the spectacular views. The hotel was right in the centre in a beautiful old building, this was good apart from we visited when it was really hot and the air con unit was ok but quite noisy. The room catered for all 4 of us with some quirky features, my favourite was the goat head board 😁"

"We liked this hotel but understandably, as an older facility it was way too hot and the staircase was difficult to negotiate with our bags. Otherwise, it was a good place centrally located in this cute town. The staff was very helpful."

"Wonderful hotel full of charm and character, rooms were very nice and well equipped. Motorcycle parking was very good and a safe location. Restaurant very popular locally and a good menu. Stayed two nights and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and accommodate any needs. Good breakfast and excellent location. Out door thermal spa 5mins walk as was the cable car station. Highly recommended this hotel."

"I would have given this hotel an excellent overall if it were not for the noise during both nights we stayed. A street concert from Friday night lasted until 4 AM in the morning, and from Saturday to Sunday until 5 AM. Apparently there are a lot of free street concerts in Bulle. Nothing warned us of this ahead of time, but we did find free earplugs in the room, so the hotel seems to be well aware of the issue."

"Perfect stay. The room was huge, recently renovated, with super comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was also big, with spacious shower. You get access to the Bains, with the hotel providing with bathrobe and towels, and an underground tunnel to easily access the pools. The village of Charmey and the valley are beautiful, with a télécabine near the hotel, so the access for hikes and other activities (such as toboggans) was very easy. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and close to nature experience."

"Perfect breakfast unless want bacon eggs as none. Personable staff. Free parking but be aware of it being under renovation and if hot outside demand a fan. Ac very bad. Great price too but 4 of 5 overall."
