Clean, big room but the most amazing - huge area of the former fort with historical staff, paintings, carpets, old walls. Very impressive conformable bed and car parking in the territory

Had a great historical feeling, with great views . Enjoyed the tropical bird enclosure. The breakfast was simple but delicious. Staff was excellent. The tavern rest was convenient and excellent.

Hidden gem in the north of Portugal
Must stay venue when visiting Chaves. Unique hotel with lots of character and history, evident from the moment you arrive. Excellent rooms, fantastic pool, great location. Would definitely stay again

Amazing hotel, beautiful interior architecture.
The architecture, the historical beauty, and the comfort of this hotel are fantastic. Great swimming pool, many common areas, and tavern. Walking distance to Roman bridge and to castle tower.

The site of the hotel is splendid in his own right. The town itself is also worth a one-day stay, and can be visited on foot. Excellent service, excellent breakfast. Really plenty of parking places.

Amazing
The hotel is amazing I have never seen anything like it. The drive to the hotel was a little worrisome but once you got there you were blown away by the building and the facilities. Breakfast was included and great!

Serenity
This is a stunning hotel, set within an ancient fort in the old convent. Many original features have been retained and the conversion to a hotel ha been carried out with great sympathy and taste. The serenity is wonderful and the rooms, although not large, are beautiful. The "Taverna", built into the walls of the fort, is a good place for a quick meal or a drink and the restaurant is excellent, but not open Sunday evening or Monday. Great pool area with pool bar. We cannot wait to return.

I would visit Portufal just to stay at this hotel
Simply AMAZING experience. I would go to this area just to stay at the hotel. Wifi was spotty and breakfast was simple. The surrounding garden and forest is beautiful. The most amazing place I stayed in Portugal.
