We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and having a ball in Camors before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, travel documents, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a laptop crammed with your favourite shows are some great options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
