Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Carreragco holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a great travel experience is to pack in advance. First up, the essentials: passport, travel docs, bank cards and medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you busy, like some electronic devices or a good book. It's also wise to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, be sure to toss in toiletry items like a toothbrush, deodorant and a clean set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lessen your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
