We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and having a ball in Diamante before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and choose shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
