Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Terre Hill could be no sweat at all or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack your passport, travel docs, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are some wonderful options. If you intend to catch forty winks, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a few toiletry items to ensure you step off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
