"The hotel was fine but definitely not of the standard I would expect from a usual Champneys venue. Rooms felt a bit dated, especially the dining area. The food was very average and we ended up cancelling our evening reservation as it looked far too expensive for what was on offer. I have found other Champneys are known for their healthy and tasty food. Small touches were missing such as someone offering to take our luggage on arrival and charging £30 for valet parking. They also charged £10 if you wanted cutlery sent up to your room. The spa was nice enough and the spa staff were friendly. Overall I didn't feel this stay was value for money and wouldn't return to this Champneys hotel."

"Room was basic, shower water pressure very low, lighting in room not great, Breakfast - staff were doing a great job but were rushed off there feet, very busy and could not cope with demand on some food items like croissants, fruit, hash browns, sausages etc.. Also guest seemed to taking food and not eating it - wasting, and some did not care about leaving the place tidy - absolutely clueless people "
