We liked the setting on a steep hillside right off the highway and the main entrance to Waynesville. The motel needs some updating for users of electronic devices. The bed was comfortable, table and chairs handy and the balcony lovely -just was too chilly to enjoy in December. Breakfast was continental and basic.

The location is nice and secluded but not too far from amenities. The rooms are clean but could definitely benefit from some updates and repairs. The bathroom in the room we were in had several issues; tub had a patch and felt very soft. The drain plug was broken off and removed from the tub. The shower curtain rod was pulling away from the wall and the toilet sat crooked.

The front desk was extremely incompetent. We stayed over one night and the hotel canceled the remaining reservation after it was already paid for. They overbooked the hotel and could not find our paid reservation. We were totally inconvenienced and forced to find another hotel at the last minute. The operator didn't pick up the phone at the hotel after several calls.

Beds are very good, all kind of insects in the room, room was very poorly cleaned, dining area terrible not to say horrible. Almost nothing available for breakfast, no hot food, prices per room excesible elevated. To give you an example, per night over $200 while a Marriott facility charge per night $145 with full hot breakfast . For us it doesn’t worth even $100 per night. Worst hotel we have ever being

Everything about this Days Inn was just passable. While the room was night the A/C was loud and worked erratically. It was either too hot or cold. Wi-Fi was out for much of our stay. There were only 2 coffee servings in the room but only one creamer packet and no decaf. The continental breakfast was very sparse.

Little of this, little of that.

Room smelled like stale smoke. Past customers had smoked on the balcony and must have left the sliding glass door open into the room, plus the cigarette butts were left on the railing. Coffee from the office was good. But breakfast was nothing that either of us would even consider delving into. Front desk staff was super nice and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Carpet was sock wearing worthy. View was great. Price was great. This is an older hotel. Each room has a balcony facing the mountains which was nice.

My TV had to be reset the first night,it wasn't working properly. I woke up the next morning and there was no 'basket' to make coffee. The next night the TV had to be reset and the next night. After the first 3 days I just reset it myself. I was there for 6 nights. The day before I checked out, I asked about an adjustment on my bill,because of the TV. I was told no because I could have moved rooms. I was never offered to change rooms, even the third night when they had to reset it.

The balcony view was nice. There was a lot of smokers around the building, one was standing in room keeping cigarette out the door. It was priced good but felt like a low-end place.
