Overall a very tidy boutique hotel, in the Lanna style on Northern Thailand. Room size was good with a small settee, and lounge chair on balcony overlooking the pool.
Bed was a 4 poster with canopy, and very comfortable. Bathroom included a spa bath, and was well decorated with a wall motif in sandstone.
Fresh red roses, white roses, and orchids were in the room at various times during our stay.
Breakfast supplied, and consisted of the usual bacon & eggs, toast, plus a selection of fresh fruits. We had an extended stay, and were also provided with a choice of Thai "porridge", (a light, mildly spicy soup with rice, and either pork or prawn. Another alternative was fried rice with prawns, and 2 eggs. Tea and coffee were refilled on request.
Situated a short walk from Anusan Night Market, which I think is one of the better markets, without being over crowded. Two fresh seafood restaurants are there, and live seafood is available for BBQ or Thai cooking. Across the road from Amata Lanna hotel, in the Ping Nakara Boutique hotel, very much a 5 star, however they have a beautiful little patisserie at the rear on the river bank. A great spot to have lunch or High Tea. (very popular with the well to do locals). Can recommend it, but priced accordingly, not your cheap feed.
Overall a good experience, and the staff were very friendly.
2 criticisms. Our air conditioner was reasonably noisy, so that we turned it off at night, and the 50 Baht charge per page for printing - Highway Robbery.
