Best Hostel in Chicago

The accommodations and service was wonderful. The staff was amazingly friendly the facilities were very clean and the working space was great! While in Chicago I will surely stay here again.

Great, affordable place to stay in Chicago. I stayed in a private double room and the room was comfortable and offered all the expected amenities you'd expect in the shared area. Studio 424 also offers a work space to use.

I was thinking it was a hotel room. I was surprised it was a sleeping place with bunk beds ect. I didn't know code to get in. Which room . Just a waste of my money. Wont go there again.

I arrived after midnight, so I appreciated that they provide a door code so I could let myself in. It was a quiet, clean and pleasant place to sleep on a budget and included a shared bathroom and kitchen area with a fridge to store food.

Just superb

Wonderful. Chill, comfy, quiet, human-scaled and very well situated in walkable, eclectic Wicker Park, central by transit to everywhere else. And the best part: such friendly, helpful, personable family owners who run a great place with care for people and their experience. Just a great home base for any Chicago visit.

The perfect solution to the high cost nightly rentals in this area. We enjoyed our two night stay. High recommended. Easy, comfortable and affordable! 10 min walk to shopping and Wormhole coffee! Sharing bathroom and kitchen was no problem.

Hate to leave a bad review, I’m they are good people. Little out of their control but people were up at 2am in the morning slamming stuff around and cooking/cleaning making noise. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything. WiFi didn’t work. I don’t think anyone could get into the office/work area. I would go to the bathroom and come back and be locked out of my room. The shower towels smelt like they weren’t cleaned. I payed for the private room so I thought it would be a better experience. The bed was comfortable. Super boxed in with no window in the room. I ended up leaving a few days early because I just could handle it anymore and I was loosing sleep. A lot of old food just hanging out in the fridge and not a lot of space to put your own food.

To be fair, I didn’t know I was going to share a kitchen in a bathroom with other people. But it was still noisy in the morning. For some reason people were carpeting around. And it’s really the luck of the draw who you stay with because the person that was also in a different room smelled terrible. And I had to buy my own candle just for my room, overall it’s not a good place for a date. But a good place if you’re just trying to get somewhere A to be B.
