Rooms were very nice. Breakfast was terrible for the cost. House keeping was very good. Staff behind front desk were unfriendly and kind of rude. Never did they acknowledge appreciation we stayed at the hotel. They seemed to lack training on how to address guests and that guests are why they are employed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely excellent stay at 909 N. Michigan Avenue! The location could not have been better. So many restaurants, shops, attractions, and other amenities are within walking distance, which made enjoying Chicago incredibly convenient. We also had a rental car, and getting around the city and to other destinations was very easy. Another huge plus was having **adjoining rooms**. It was perfect for traveling together because we could easily share time between the rooms while still having our own space and privacy. The location, convenience, comfort, and accessibility all helped make this an excellent stay from beginning to end. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Five stars and highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The location is this hotel’s greatest strength. It is a solid, long-established business hotel that has been remodeled and remains in very good condition. The setting feels safe and is exceptionally convenient for shopping, museums, architecture, and restaurants. The staff was professional and responsive; our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. A few considerations: 1. South-facing rooms look directly into the side of the John Hancock Building and can pick up Michigan Avenue street noise. I have not been assigned a north facing room, so I can't comment on whether it is better. 2. The walls are somewhat thin. I use white noise, which made this manageable, but loud neighboring conversations can be audible. 3. The “resort” fee is irritating—though, with a relatively low room rate, it is clearly part of the hotel’s revenue model and an incentive to use the restaurant or bar. We had a pleasant stay, and this was the second time I have chosen the hotel.
