There is a wonderful patio bar/restaurant on the roof with amazing views of the city. With its central location you can walk pretty much everywhere. We had a terrific stay here. "The view of the pantheon is amazing, everyone is so nice. I def recommend this hotel, please note parking is an issue like alot of other places but they do offer shuttles for a fee and let you know where you can park. Because of ZTL we came in after 630pm so e could drive up to the hotel and drop the luggage and then went to park. We just had to call a cab to take us to the parking garage when we were ready to leave. And you have to be able to go up some stairs, they help you with your bags n there is an elevator but it starts on the floor above. "
"We had a wonderful stay at the Smeraldo. It’s a cute clean hotel with a great location. So close to major sights and places to eat. The hotel staff was wonderful answering questions prior to and during our stay. We were a large party staying pre cruise and they were always patient and they helpful getting taxis and directions to wherever we needed. Loved the rooftop bar and the included breakfast. There was a Rick Steves tour staying there at the same time…if he includes it in his tour package .. you know it’s good ! "
