"The hotel had everything we needed for a 6-night stay. The queen-size studio room we had was large and well-equipped with a kitchenette, comfortable bed, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, and plenty of storage. The room was quiet, too. Breakfast was fine, just contential and not a lot of variety/choice but it was sufficient and great it is included in the price. The swimming pool was clean and the laundry room was very helpful too! Everything feels a little dated and could do with a revamp, but it didn't affect our stay. All in all, good value for money! "

Hotel Chrome Montreal

"The Chrome is excellent locationwise if you plan on spending time downtown or near Old Montreal. I was there for the punk music festival Pouzza Fest. It's an excellent location for the festival, all venues are close. I was happy that the 747 bus from the airport has a stop directly in front of the hotel. It cost me only $11.75 to get from the airport to the hotel. The staff were helpful. I didn't have much reason to talk to them other than at check in and check out. I did ask for the wifi password and they told me there is no password. The hotel was clean, no issues there. It could use some upkeeping and maintenance. The lamp in my room was broken and you could tell where a light fixture had been busted and not fixed. Some upkeeping in the elevators wouldn't hurt, the one sounded like it was gonna blast past floor 8 and rocket through the roof. The room was quite big, tv is a ways away from the bed but because the room is much bigger than most newer hotels that ive stayed in. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the light switch for all the lights is at the door which is a ways away from the bed, I kept the TV on so I wouldn't have to walk to the bed in the dark. I guess I could have moved the broken lamp closer to the bed. Overall, the building was fine for my needs. It's a little rough around the edges but I would certainly stay there again. The price fit my budget well compared to the other newer hotels in the area."

"This is our second time staying in this hotel. But this recent stay really disappointed us. The reason why we came back is because of the location of the hotel and it is near to a lot of good food. However, this recent stay it seems like the place has been really neglected. First, the room description doesn’t match what you get in the room - it stated that there’s a twin bunk bed however we only got a twin bed. Also, the room’s couches and bed were all dirty. The couch smelled like vomit and there were so many stains as well. The windows had no screens and most of the windows doesn’t open. The remotes were all dirty as well. All these concerns were passed down to the management but they were too slow to response and left couple of voicemails but no callbacks. In addition, the hotel lobby was also dirty and filled with stains on the floor. The reception desk had beer bottles lying around and the lobby had a funky smell. I will not come back to this place as I was a very upset."

"Our visit was perfect from start to finish: the room was lovely, the pool was clean and well-maintained, the breakfast was delicious (and the hotel is literally steps away from a supermarket in the Underground, making other meals simple to get), and the hotel was located right next to a Metro station, making it easy to get around! And on top of it all, the staff were pleasant and helpful, even waiving our early check-in fee! I know exactly where I'm staying next time I come to Montreal!"
