"I've stayed here a number of times. It's an older property but the location and price made up for the outdated feel. But this time, no hot water was a deal breaker. On check in, I was informed to let the water run for "10 minutes or so. We're having issues." Colorado is on drought alert with mandatory water restrictions. Letting the water run for 20 minutes was awkward and was still too cold to shower.
While not monumental, the coffee urn in the lobby had cold (guessing yesterday's)coffee in it at 8:15 am. Is that really too early or too late for coffee?
The only staff member I saw on site was great!"
"Had a pleasant stay at this conveniently-located motel. I enjoyed walking along the adjacent river and watching the rafters.
It is also convenient that the city's hot springs are right across the street."
"The location is convenient, safe, had plenty of parking, and the beds were clean. The biggest asset is that the unit (likely most of them) actually have bedrooms instead of a single main room with 2 beds. This provided additional privacy and options especially if a family has kids that they want to put to bed sooner or if not all guest know each other well enough to share the same living space. Outside of this, I was a bit disappointed by the conditions of at least the room that we received. Maybe others were updated or cleaner, but I found several issues including dirty vents, missing paint, empty body wash container, and the bathroom door coming off it's track. These issues didn't ruin our experience. It just means it could use a bit more tender love and care. I think the pictures for the listing made it seem like the renovations were more recent so my expectations were higher. I'm sure you could do way worse than this place. There was mini golf, an indoor hot tub, small gym, and sauna (not already hot so you need to get it going before use) which definitely add to the overall value of the place, but we simply didn't have enough time to enjoy any of these amenities."
"Staff was excellent. Had to ask for towels each night we visited the pool & hot tub room. Unclear why that wasn’t planned better given it was ski season and everyone heads there at the end of the day.
The breakfast area, which may / may not be included with your room was very poorly staffed and the food was disappointing"
