Very nice room with a large bathroom. The shower and the bed were great. This building is not “allowed” central A/C by Swiss authorities so it was quite hot.

The hotel is a bit dated but it nevertheless had (minimal) air con during an active heat wave. The staff also proactively offered an additional fan, slippers, and ice. This hotel set high expectations for our following hotels across the country, which none of them lived up to.

The USB charging ports on the nightstand didn’t work, which is pretty inconvenient for a tourist who doesn’t have a Swiss power adapter. And to top it off, the body wash bottle mounted on the shower wall was empty. Aside from that—and the lousy service at the front desk—the hotel is actually a nice place.

"The room was beautiful but the bed was not king sized despite claims to the contrary. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work but it wasn't until my last night that I noticed there was one. In Europe, duvets are the standard but it's just to warm. Requested a top sheet and it was provided."
