"It’s a small room by USA standards, but a great value. My room was clean, the shower hot, AND they offered me an upgrade (I don’t know why). Bonus mirror by the bed! Some noise from other rooms and the bar.
It’s in a working neighborhood, but you can walk two blocks to Mercado Santa Rosa for breakfast, fruit, and early dinner.
Calle 5 is on the cooperative van route to port attractions: naval museum, Submarine Abtao, and Islas Palominos.
It’s an inexpensive urban hotel run by nice, helpful...
"Basic hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff and cold beer. We had a devil of a time finding the place because the google maps placement is way off. In the end we flagged down a trike driver and followed him through town to the place! There was a rocking kids birthday party when we arrived. I think they may have even had a clown. Anyway, I give Qallwa two thumbs up and would go out of my way to stay again.

"The room was pleasant, try and ask for a room with a window.
very hot water and great water pressure. laundry was offered for a reasonable (s/4) rate for a load."
