Comfortable stay
"It was a comfortable stay with great hospitality. The room could have been cleaner - crumbs, dust and someone’s shoe under the sofas. Cobwebs on walls and ceilings. The bathrooms smelled a little mildewy/damp, probably due to lack of windows, so would benefit from some air fresheners."

We didn't visit any of the local sights due to a bad back, We spent much of our time in Cockermouth and Lorton. Cockermouth is a lovely small town with lots of great shops and places to eat

Travel light because no help with luggage to the room. Slightly confusing arrangement of the new wings where at the common entrance no room numbers were displayed. If you are vegetarian, food is limited.Pricey, £30 golf voucher not any help to us
