"Very charming boutique hotel occupying the space of an old pharmacy, thus the name. The lobby still has many of the old compounds in their original glass jars lightly back lit giving the room a warm glow. Very welcoming. The room was very nice. Large bed with a comfortable spring mattress. Importantly the shower was great—strong water pressure and warm water. Staff was friendly and helpful. Suggested some excellent restaurants and we can confirm they know their local area."

"The apartment arrangement is fine. Next to the University of Coimbra which was the reason for our stay. Coimbra near the University is very hilly, but the area is beautiful in September. "The hotel itself looks much better than it does in the pictures. All public spaces looked amazing. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, had a great selection of food. My room was spacious and clean. I had a place to put everything and keep my things organised. The mattress was a bit firm for my liking, but I still slept comfortably. Overall, I had a great stay. I wish the hotel had a gym, it was the only thing missing for me. Thank you Miguel (from the bar) for your service, and great recommendations! "
