"The hotel very kindly upgraded me for free when I arrived and the room was excellent, spacious and comfy. The buffet breakfast is reasonably priced and adequate. The close proximity to the terminal , and ease of access for parking make this an ideal gateway for those travelling to and from Stansted Airport"

"What a lovely hotel - couldn't fault it. Had never heard of the brand of hotel before, but all was good. Very quiet hotel so had a peaceful sleep. We eat there too and again, couldn't fault the food or staff - would definitely use this brand of hotel again"

"The ambiance of the hotel was very welcoming and it was what it said, a Tudor building. It was what we wanted, Quirky. All the staff were excellent, friendly and most helpful. The only negative was that the street outside was very noisy at night but that is not the fault of the hotel as we were in the centre of Colchester. Over all it was a very positive experience. "
