"This was an excellent and comfortable option in the heart of Colchester. The room benefited from air con on such a hot weekend and we were in a quiet part of the hotel. Breakfast was cooked to order - my other half would have liked a fresh fruit salad (a basked of fruit was provided, to be fair). Unfortunately the WiFi was patchy throughout the building, not just in our room. If I’d had to do work it would have been impossible. We certainly couldn’t have watched a film online. If this could be sorted I’d say the hotel was worth 5 stars."

"Lovely welcome and such a nice surprise to be upgraded for our anniversary. Bed was huge and really comfy. Meal was excellent in the restaurant and couldn’t be a more perfect location for an early flight. Stayed many times and would not hesitate to stay here again for our next trip out of Stansted. Thank you to the staff for making our stay special"

"We had an enjoyable stay.All aspects very pleasing - especially the Indian food dishes which we ordered. Breakfasts very good too. We had a well-appointed room, spacious and suitable for my disabled wife. My only criticism is about policy of only servicing rooms when asked for; regular daily servicing means any problems are seen and can be dealt with sooner rather than later. Care for environment can be seen to by asking simply for thoughtful use of towels - avoid unnecessary washing. Thank you."
