"When you check in there is a hundred dollar deposit for possible damage or missing towels. Nothing in listing. Pay fee start heading up to room smells old ok no problem. We'll I am checking room and taking pictures of everything because I don't want accused of damage I pull bed sheets back and it looks like a crime or two has happened on the bed mattresses sheets were ok not great then. I move mattresses and I seen what looks like bed bugs moving. The chair looked like it was from 90 in room. There a door to the next room behind the chair just with a dead bolt holding it closed. Lots of wear and tear place needs a ton of work and charging a fee for damage is crazy. Place is very run down."
"There's was a bit of a mix up with the rooms and number of guests but the manager was very helpful and made the proper corrections. The facilities were nice and very clean."
"We very much enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub! The breakfast was pretty awesome as well! My granddaughter and her friend really enjoyed the cookies!"
"Musty room, very noisy air conditioner, but not noisy enough to drown out the next room’s loud TV, which began at 3am and continued until I finally gave up and left at 6. Also, a surprising quantity of long curly hair was on the bathroom floor and stuck to the wall.
Overall, a totally uncomfortable and non-restful experience. One doesn’t pay $100 for a room in which to lie awake for hours."
"I have stayed at this property many times but this is the first time since it became a Travelodge. The experience was not so good. Upon check in they demand an HSF Eco fee of $2. Not a lot, but the Expedia fee is supposed to include all taxes and fees. The property seems to have many long term residents with BBQ outside their rooms. The gardens don't seem to be maintained. I think there are other choices nearby that may be better."
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Selinsgrove by IHG
8/10 Good
"I wish the toilets were a little higher. People with bad knees have trouble standing up from a lower bent position. I didn’t like that the AC cycled off and on during the night. I like it cold to sleep and even with the setting at 68 it got warm enough to have to remove the heavy blanket. The height of bed was difficult to get into for someone who is not tall with bad knees and back. The woman at the desk was excellent in coming up to our room to show us how to use the remote. Everyone was very friendly and helpful!!"
