V Hotel Bencoolen

"Front desk staff and all staff around the hotel were really nice. Always greeted me when they saw me . May, who cleaned the room was lovely . She always had time for a short chat and always made sure that my room was ready before I returned . Hotel has washer and separate drier which was fantastic. Front desk will swap notes for coins if needed . There is an ice machine as well which I used everyday. I bought my drink bottle from home and filled it up with ice and used the filtered water from the room. Rooms are on the small side though . The only thing I would fault is the light switch position. There is no switch near the bed ( on the wall near the tv and near the front door ). There is a swimming pool and gym equipment ( didn’t use either ). This is on floor 3 where the washing machine is . Overall , the hotel is always spotless . Staff are very friendly . Bencoolen train station is 2 doors down which was very handy . Caught the train everyday . When exiting , there are 2 exits to Bencoolen St . Take exit A otherwise you end up on the opposite side of the road. There are 2 temples in Waterloo St which is behind the hotel. The location of this hotel is very central to everything. I walked to Arab St which is about 15-20 away . Raffles is about 10 minutes walk. Area is very safe at night . Fort Canning Park is walking distance. Worth a visit . Anyone looking at staying somewhere central in Singapore, I would highly recommend V Hotel Bencoolen."

"What a lovely hotel, very opulent but staff were really friendly to everyone. It was in a very convenient location with easy access to the metro, walking options were also good. The room was excellent, very comfortable and large bed, with all mod cons. We used the cocktail bar on the 70th floor, stunning views, worth a visit. Overall would thoroughly recommend this hotel."

"I had great success experience overall at the hotel, great room, clean and very friendly staffs. But there just one thing the bath tub were clog and I try to use it but for that reason I can’t. But beside that the experience at the hotel is great."

"A well located hotel, friendly and efficient staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and a really good breakfast selection. No powerpoint in the bathroom makes hair drying problematic. My room had a small refrigerator but did not have a freezer (I needed ice packs to keep medication cold when out and about)."
