Stay at your own risk
There are very limited places to stay in Colstrip, so I was forced to try this place. Although the staff was friendly, my room was less than clean. The mirror, tv and fridge were apparently wiped with a very dirty cloth as they were extremely streaky. The fridge was not working. And exterminators arrived in the morning to spray five rooms. Maybe that’s a good sign?

Thank you for your review. I am sorry the room was not up to standards. We are making changes to make sure we do not have this problem again. Ecolab comes once a month for regular maintenance on spraying for spiders, etc and also to make sure we have no rodents. We hope you have a great day.

Everything was great until the day manager came in. We were on bikes and there was a storm coming in. We asked the evening desk clerk if we could leave our bikes under the covered entry and she said it would be fine. The day manager came in and made it very clear she was unhappy that the bikes were out there. She told my husband that dealing with storms is just part of riding a bike. When I told her we asked permission she told me the desk clerk would be written up and if she was traveling with her husband he would have covered her bike if a storm was coming. Apparently we were blocking the night clerks parking spot, however the day manager had no issue parking in the spot. Either way I would never go to this hotel again. This women was so condescending and rude, we would never have parked there without asking first. If there is a training issue at the front desk she shouldn’t share it with the guests. I also feel bad knowing the desk clerk who had been so helpful and pleasant was now in trouble for making paying customers happy.

Check in was easy. Room was clean, but the bathroom door did not close completely and when door was open it touched the toilet bowl. Also the bathroom fan was not functioning properly. Had a horrible squeal when turned on. We stayed two nights. Put the maid service sign on the door when we left at 8:30 am. None was done that day-no fresh towels or coffee packet refills. Saturday morning continental breakfast-nothing was refilled. Tables were very sticky in the lobby area. Check out process was easy.

Made a reservation on Expedia for a 2 bed room. Showed up to a 1 bed room. They told me that was because Expedia has no idea what kind of rooms they have available and to book through them personally next time. The hotel was completely booked and eventually figured out a way to get us a room with 2 beds as someone did not show. The rooms were clean enough.

Definitely won’t stay again. Charge card immediately upon arrival which isn’t normal. Didn’t have correct room. Room was dirty beds are ungodly uncomfortable. Duct tape was holding up the curtain rod in the shower. Threatening letters/messages ALL over the hotel even on the vending machines! Only positive was the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Hotel was very clean, quiet, the complimentary breakfast was good, and the hotel was fairly priced. We will stay here again if our travels happen to bring us that way.

The only motel in town - No complaint
Staff are friendly and accommodating but the building itself is in need of upgrades. Chair cushion was seriously stained as was the carpet. Exterior security doors were duct taped open. That being said the beds and linen were clean and comfortable. Bath towels were clean but very thin. This place’s primary customers appear to be construction and maintenance crews.

No frills, great breakfast
It was fairly clean and very convenient. The only things that could have been cleaner were the blowdryer handle, which was a little sticky, and the room didn't seem vacuumed right up to under the bedskirt. These are probably not on a normal cleaning checklist, so are understandable, but when guests are looking for lost socks or using the blowdryer, they will be a little disappointed. They had a wonderful continental breakfast, polite cleaning staff, refrig, microwave and lots of TV channels. I did want to find a staff member the morning of check out to change the credit card I was going to use and could not get a response with the bell or phone. There was a sign that they were cleaning rooms so they probably couldn't hear. It wasn't a huge problem. Overall, this was a decent place to stay and we will probably stay there again in a few months when visiting family again.

It helps when people let us know so that way we can be more diligent in our house keeping. And yes, sometimes we are short handed and the front desk is cleaning rooms. We are required to have the phone with us, but vacuums can be loud and we don't hear it. Our apologies for not responding. We hope you will come and stay with us again.
