Ryton

"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

Top Consett Hotel Reviews

Maldron Hotel Newcastle

8/10 Good

"Well situated to train station, Eldon Square shopping centre, Grainger Market, Bigg Market’s bars and some nice restaurants a few minutes walk away. Room was decent although paint was peeling off the bathroom wall and some mould in the shower, so definitely needs a room refresh."

Copthorne Hotel Newcastle

8/10 Good

"Really spacious clean room. Bathroom a bit dated and shower not very warm. Great location and parking facilities. Cracking view of the river from the room. I got an email offering a deal on breakfast. On paying at reception I was told it didn’t include VAT for the breakfast which was extra which I thought was a bit misleading. Other than that nice stay."

Holiday Inn Newcastle - Gosforth Park by IHG

The leisure facilities were fantastic, with a lovely swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room – perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well maintained, and the facilities throughout the hotel were exceptionally clean. What made our stay even more enjoyable was the friendly and welcoming staff, who helped create such a pleasant atmosphere. This is a fantastic hotel for families, offering a wonderful combination of comfort, relaxation and excellent facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
