"The laundry room Facility was outdated. The pool grounds had cigarette butts inside the swimming area and garbage on the outside of the fence. And the water was murky. The elevators were old and were down for a short time. But in today’s world, it is hard to keep things nice. The staff there was impeccable. Over the years, I have never met more wonderful people than I have at this hotel. It was a very comfortable room."

"My daughter had one wish for her 4th birthday: to stay in a hotel. I chose this one because of the indoor pool and the inviting outdoor space by the pond — and I’m so glad we did. Was it perfect? No. The indoor pool area could use some upgrades — safer, less slippery floors, actual pool towels, and better air circulation to cut the humidity (and the echo, which was real 😅). But the room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and most importantly, it gave my kids space to laugh, splash, and play without bothering anyone else. They had a blast swimming while it stormed outside and then frog-hunting by the pond when the skies cleared. But what made our stay truly memorable was Julia, a kind and observant housekeeper we met in passing. She noticed it was my daughter’s birthday — and later came back to gift her $5, explaining someone had left her a tip and she wanted to “gift Kayte what she had been gifted.” That simple, selfless gesture blew me away. What a beautiful moment of kindness from a complete stranger — to a four-year-old, no less. That experience alone earns this hotel a 5/5 in my book. We’ll definitely be back for another local staycation."
