"Loved the old building. The restaurant staff(( 2 young men) were very good. The food was great too. Liked the room. Clean and comfortable bed, good shower, not enough clothes storage. Not happy with my check in experience and the way it was dealt with. 40minutes wasted hanging about waiting. Fire alarm in the night. A fault in the system.No-one on premises to sort it out. Fire brigade came. We were outside an hour."

"We were attending a wedding at the hotel and on the day the electricity went off. It was completely out of the hands of the hotel but the staff worked tirelessly to ensure the wedding reception could go ahead. There was no power from 6am until late into the evening but somehow they kept everything on track and the event was a huge success. How they managed to serve such high quality food under the circumstances I don’t know. I’m sure they were all exhausted by the end of the day, but thank you for all your efforts!!"

"We stayed twice in quick succession, the first room was very small, but the second room was quite nice. It is an 800 year old building so not everything is perfect, but the food and service is great. The bathrooms were clean in both rooms. Parking is half a block away, so you need to plan out the unloading/loading a bit, that turned out to not be a big deal, but not expecting that caused us to spend quite a bit of extra time initially."

"Really great location close to the train station. Staff were really helpful, especially with storing bags after check out. Room was clean, although the bathroom did have a lingering solvent smell, like it had recently been repainted. The hotel itself runs its own shuttle service to Stonehenge which was super convenient. "We used this location to visit Stonehenge as well as the Old Harry Rocks/Dorset Coast in general. It was also convenient and easy to sneak a day trip into Bath from this spot. It was perfect for our longer days, coming back to a clean apartment with all the amenities to cook our own meals. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. On site parking is available for £5 per day or if you arrive by train it’s a mere 100 meters to the station. If you arrive by train, the location is very walkable to grocery stores and local attractions (Salisbury Cathedral). Staff were super responsive in the Expedia chat and very friendly. It’s a self check in / check out, with staff on site in case you experience any issues. The fridge/table was also stocked with complimentary breakfast items which was a nice touch. There is a full laundry room, again stocked with laundry detergent, stain remover, etc. Would absolutely recommend staying here and if I am ever back in the area, I would stay here again myself."
