Had a good stay at the hotel. The room was clean and the hotel was a short walk to the town. Only negative is that there is not enough sun loungers and there are no umbrellas.

Staff was courteous and breakfast was decent! What made my experience negative was the constant power outage during my 4-day stay. The outage was recurring for almost 3 consecutive nights. My room was also missing duvets; we were only provided thin blankets (compared to other rooms where the rest of my family stayed). I stayed on the 2nd floor and the noise level was bothersome, both from the wind throwing a few things around echoing down the hallway, and a bunch of drunk and inconsiderate guests constantly yelling and slamming their doors late at night (which wasn’t the hotel’s fault but still really annoying). Wish I had a better experience since my cousin loves this hotel and recommended it to me.

I highly recommend Hotel Soleil to anyone visiting Coron. The place is amazing. It has enormous swimming pool. Hotel is spotless, very clean and has peaceful scenery. Close to town proper, easy ride via tricycle and reasonable fare. The staff are extra helpful, polite, & very welcoming. I visited Coron 3X, this hotel is exceptional. My best stay so far. Thank you Expedia for your recommendation and my sincere appreciation to Hotel Soleil for making our stay a very memorable one.

Great value for the price as we were able to use the nice pool. Buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing as there was not many options for the cost. We opted to stay with the free economy breakfast, which was enough for our needs.

Second stay here

The hotel was mostly empty. We got upgraded from the free included breakfast to the buffet breakfast, likely because it would be too much of a hassle to maintain two breakfast services with so few guests. The pool was mostly empty which was nice and quiet for us. The massage has been moved from the lobby to a small building outside. While the lobby was louder in 2019, I did appreciate it being in an air conditioned room before, compared to now. The new massage space is not air conditioned. The main restaurant is barely air conditioned and the majority of the meals are in shareable sizes. I would prefer solo portions for many of the meals. I feel like we didn't get to try things because the portions were so large we didn't want to waste food.

Everything about this hotel was dated and very bad layout of rooms, you always have to close the curtains or people can see inside your room, staff horrible and very enological. The only person that was nice and understanding was the general manager, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel unless there is a huge turn over from ground up.

Lovely pool and good rooms. We were in the express bit which is the economy part attached to the main hotel. You get to use all the main hotel facilities but have a different breakfast which is ok but deliberately basic so you will upgrade to the main breakfast buffet. The main issue is the location, it is a long hot walk along roads with no pavements to getninto town where all the restaurants are.

Nous sommes restées 3 nuits. La chambre était très humide (papillons d’humidité dans les chambres) et peu éclairée, nos maillots de bain/serviettes ne séchaient pas du tout. L’endroit est à 15min de marche du centre ville et c’est facile de se déplacer en tricycle de l’hotel. J’ai essayé pendant 2 jours de rejoindre l’hotel avant notre arrivée pour organiser un transport du port de coron vers l’hotel, on ne m’a jamais répondu, et ce, malgré plusieurs messages échangés auparavant avec la manager sur d’autres sujets. La pisicne est bien et les lieux sont propres. Faites attention, car soit le site expédia soit le site de l’hotel est infiltré par une arnaque, quelqu’un vous envoie des messages whats app avec vos numéro de booking, vos informations personnelles et vos dates de séjour et essaie d’obtenir vos informations bancaires via un lien frauduleux « expédia ». On m’a informé que je n’étais pas la seule à avoir reçu ces messages. J’ai avisé les 2 organisations, et on m’a répondu que c’était le site web de l’autre le problème. Mais en général, pour le prix payé, c’était selon les attentes.

Très bon séjour au Soleil Coron. La piscine est magnifique. L’hôtel est très facile d’accès au centre ville (5 min en tuk tuk). Chambre très propre. Seul truc à améliorer : plus de transats à la piscine.

Excellent customer service. Everyone was so polite and helpful. We were on a island tour and my sister left her phone in the van. The staff did an excellent job of contacting the driver and recovering the phone. The hotel is also beautiful, lobby was spacious and the pool looks amazing!

Accommodation due to cancelled flight

As our flight was cancelled, friend and I booked this hotel. We did not realise that it was an express accommodation so basically staff are not giving you enough attention. The aircon in the room was no working so we have been moved, same with no view. All basic and it is too expensive.
