"This is such a fun little place to stay. The size of the room and onsite bathroom was perfect for us. Very roomy - a nice change from the standard hotel room. Lots of seating and a large soaker tub. The place was easy to find and had great pub food. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There was lots of parking (there are two lots, and the front filled up before we could get there both days, but the side parking lot has a little gate and so it’s not an inconvenience at all. Our room was up several flights of stairs but they were small steps and we had help with the luggage. There are little hidden castle gems everywhere - like skylights that look to turrets. And castle themed sconces. I would absolutely stay here again. It was so very lovely."
"We had a lovely one night stay at Foinaven. Warmly greeted on arrival, given good advice about the town and a nice route to get there. Very comfy room with the added bonus of a complimentary breakfast brought to the room in the morning. Perfect to set us up for the next leg of our trip. Thanks very much :)"
"This hotel largely serves coach parties and is set up accordingly. Consequently it is often affordable to the independent traveler but what you get is the scrag ends left over from the crowd. For instance breakfast is served 7-9.30. We came down at 8.30 and the coffee had ran out so they were serving instant. We gave feedback at check out but the non committal look back suggested we should get over ourselves. If you get a good deal come with the expectations your mum and dad might have had in 1975 and you will enjoy."
"The room was small but perfectly functional and well furnished as was the bathroom. The breakfast room was attractive and the breakfast itself of a very high standard. The scrambled egg and smoked salmon was delightful "
"Fantastic location literally a 5 min walk into the centre of Ullapool. Great parking available.
We were lucky enough to get a room with a roll top bath and Kathleen gave us a brilliant welcome and even offered us a whisky!
Fab facilities and breakfast options"
